My Running History

A running coach does not need to be a runner themself. As for me, I’ve been running for over 15 years! It all started with the 5k, transitioned to the full marathon, swore I would never do that again and begin running half marathons. Tried a couple of sprint triathlons and now I’m back at running full marathons. Fun fact – my favorite distance is the half marathon. As your running coach, I’ve been through a lot of miles. Here’s a snapshot of my running history and the races I’ve ran

  • Atlanta Women’s virtual 5k – April 2020
  • Peachtree Road Race (Atlanta) – July 2019
  • Chicago Marathon – October 2018
  • Rock n’ Roll Nashville Half Marathon – April 2018
  • Coliseum Rock n’ Roll Sprint Triathlon (Macon, Georgia) – August 2017
  • Great Hyannis Road Race – Cape Cod 10k – May 2017
  • Rock n’ Roll Savannah Half Marathon – November 2016
  • Publix Half Marathon (Atlanta) – March 2016
  • TriFit Challenge Sprint Triathlon (Columbus, Ohio) – July 2015
  • Publix Half Marathon (Atlanta) – March 2015
  • Columbus Marathon (Columbus, Ohio)- October 2012

Before my first full marathon in 2012, I was racing 5ks! I ran for my high school (Olentangy Liberty) in Powell, Ohio. Cross-country season was in the fall and I proudly raced a 5k every Saturday. From making the varsity team Freshman year to becoming captain Senior year, it was a phenomenal time. We had a team of 75 girls and made a lot of memories. I also ran track in the spring. Our track team was much smaller so I would often run the 2 mile, 1 mile, 800 meter, and occasionally the 400 meter. Fun fact – I also pole vaulted for a season and ran the 300 meter hurdles at one point in time.
